About the Project

Asked to address the ways couples might shift their focus away from extravagant spending on their wedding day, instead, investing in a strong financial future that could ultimately lead to a happier marriage, our design team examined the idea of gamification.

Our goals were to explore how and why particular choices instigate or guide behavioral change; examine the types of data informing the content included in the final game; and, to map a particular situation through the understanding of how external factors and actors, as well as internal issues and conditions, create contexts that affect people’s various choices.

Through an iterative process, our team explored a variety of possible scenarios leading to a final prototype that guides users through a series of questions, understandings, and life lessons. My participation was in the research, initial brainstorming process, and development of the game mechanics and elements.
