User-experience questionnaire development

About the Project.

In the summer of 2024, I was an intern with Aperio Insights, based in Dallas Texas. Aperio Insights is a marketing and research company helping helping companies understand their customers’ motivation and preferences at a deeper level.

As an intern, I developed a qualitative questionnaire for a major automotive company interview panel to use in gauging the needs and/or desires of drivers and riders with a variety of disabilities.

Aperio believed me to be well-suited to developing this questionnaire because I was able to bring a first-hand understanding of disability and accommodations to bear. These questions were meant to discover what automotive features drivers and riders thought would be most helpful, as well as what features and changes they would like to see added into cars in the future.

This questionnaire not only helped lead to better user experiences for drivers with diverse needs, it honed my skills in user research, and was another valuable lesson in learning how to think about products and services from the perspective of those who will use them.
